Al Shabaab in war against Somali government

Let us tell you that with the fall of Siad Barre's dictatorship in 1991, Somalia collapsed as a unified nation. The international community has recognized the federal government of Somalia as the legitimate authority. This same government controls the capital Mogadishu and many other regions. The al-Shabaab terrorist organization, which is considered a branch of the Pakistani terrorist organization Al Qaeda, has waged a war against the government in Somalia and controls a large area in the south and central part of the country.

Recently, on August 14, there was news of the death of 13 terrorists in the US air strike. The international community has condemned the terrorist attack on the hotel in Mogadishu. The United Nations has expressed its condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack. The UN said it wished the injured a speedy recovery. The European Union has also condemned this terrorist attack.
