Andhra Pradesh / 42 red sander logs seized and two held responsible in Chittoor’s KVB Puram

Two persons have been arrested in specific incidents in the KVB Puram Mandal of Chittoor district and 42 red sander logs were recovered from their ownership on August 25. Acting on a tip-off, Redsanders Anti-smuggling Taskforce (RSASTF) Superintendent of Police Meda Sundar Rao rushed groups to KVB Puram Mandal on August 24 night time on a combing mission. 


The first and 2d group released their combing operations from Vallur and Narayanavanam Reserve Forest regions respectively, after they sighted people walking out of the wooded area via way of means of carrying felled logs on their shoulders.


Polaiah (52) of Valluru turned into stuck at the same time as the others fled withinside the cowl of darkness. The police recovered 16 treasured logs from the spot. Circle Inspector Subramanyam registered a case and is investigating.
