Air Force Plane Crash / Air Force Jaguar crashes in Churu, Rajasthan, 2 killed including pilot - body parts found

Churu, Rajasthan: A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in Churu district of Rajasthan on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The accident took place at Bhanuda Bidawatan village in Ratangarh area at around 12:40 pm. According to news agency ANI, two people have died in this accident, whose bodies have been recovered from the debris. It is believed that these bodies may be of the pilots of the aircraft, although their identity and the cause of the accident have not been officially confirmed yet.

Immediate action at the spot

The local people immediately informed the police about the accident. Churu Superintendent of Police (SP) Jai Yadav said that the accident took place in Bhanuda village of Rajaldesar police station area. As soon as the information was received, a team of Rajaldesar police reached the spot and secured the area. The police have recovered badly mutilated body parts from near the debris. A special team of the Air Force has also left for the spot for investigation.

Third Jaguar crash in 2025

This is the third accident of the Indian Air Force's Jaguar fighter aircraft this year. Earlier on March 7, 2025, a Jaguar aircraft crashed due to a system malfunction during a routine training flight shortly after taking off from Ambala Airbase in Haryana. At the same time, on April 2, 2025, a Jaguar twin-seater trainer aircraft also crashed in Jamnagar district of Gujarat. Flight Lieutenant Siddharth Yadav died in that accident, while the other pilot survived.

Features of Jaguar aircraft

Jaguar is a deep penetration strike fighter, which was included in the Indian Air Force's fleet in the 1970s. This aircraft is known for its speed and attacking capability. The twin-seater trainer version is mainly used for training, with two pilots on board.

Air Force active for investigation

The Air Force has started an investigation into this accident. According to preliminary information, technical fault in the aircraft or human error may be the cause of the accident, but the Air Force has not yet issued any official statement. Investigation of the debris and analysis of the black box is expected to reveal the exact cause of the accident.

Panic among local people

After the accident, there is an atmosphere of panic in Bhanuda Bidawatan village. According to eyewitnesses, a loud sound was heard in the sky before the plane crashed, after which it fell to the ground. The debris scattered in a radius of several meters, causing damage to the surrounding fields.
