Telecom company Bharti Airtel will give Rs 6,000 to customers buying a new smartphone from its portal. The company made this announcement on Friday. The company said that customers buying a new smartphone from its portal will be provided a cashback of Rs 6,000 in two installments over a period of three years. Airtel said that this cashback will be given on purchase of smartphones up to Rs 12,000 from 12 brands, including Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, Nokia, itel, Lava, Infinix, Tecno, Lenovo and Motorola.

Airtel said in its statement that Airtel will offer an attractive cashback of Rs 6,000 to customers buying new smartphones worth up to Rs 12,000 from leading brands. More than 150 smartphones have been made available under this offer.

To avail this cashback, the new smartphone buyer will have to recharge a prepaid pack of Rs 249 or more (depending on the validity of the pack) for 36 consecutive months, the company said. Customers will get this cashback in two installments. The first installment of Rs 2,000 will be paid after 18 months and the remaining Rs 4,000 after 36 months. Apart from this, customers taking advantage of this plan will be given the facility of free screen replacement by Servify for one time if needed.

This initiative is a part of Airtel's flagship Mera Pehla smartphone program, which aims to make it easier for more Indians to buy quality smartphones. Once the customer has availed the eligible recharge pack, enrollment for screen replacement can be done on the Airtel Thanks app within 90 days, the statement said. The company has not given the last date for this plan.
