Akhilesh Yadav Slams Ram Mandir Donation Theft, Questions Missing Precious Shilas

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has raised serious allegations regarding the disappearance of 1250 precious Shri Ram Shilas and irregularities in temple donations, calling for a deep investigation into the "great sin."

Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav has sparked a major political controversy by making a significant statement regarding the alleged theft of donations at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Describing the situation as a "great sin" and a "mega-scandal," the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh questioned which anti-Sanatan gang is operating behind these irregularities. He emphasized the need for a deep investigation into the matter, suggesting that the issue has escalated from offerings to donations, then to land, and finally to the disappearance of extremely valuable Shri Ram Shilas worth billions of rupees.

The Mystery of 1250 Missing Shri Ram Shilas

In a post shared on social media, Akhilesh Yadav highlighted a video claiming that 1250 precious Shri Ram Shilas have gone missing. These stones, which are reportedly studded with gold, silver, and precious gems, were sent from various parts of India and abroad, including Mauritius, during the peak of the Ram Mandir movement. The allegations suggest that there is no proper account or record of these highly valuable stones. Akhilesh Yadav remarked, "Wait and watch what happens next," while demanding that the "unregistered and underground associates" of the BJP members should undergo a KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process to uncover the truth.

Allegations of Mismanagement in Daily Donations

The controversy gained further momentum following a formal complaint filed by a person named Santosh Dubey. In a written complaint submitted to the Ram Janmabhoomi police station, Dubey alleged embezzlement of offerings from the donation boxes. The complaint states that devotees donate large quantities of gold, silver, jewelry, and cash on a daily basis. However, there have been massive irregularities in the management of these funds and precious ornaments. This formal grievance has brought the internal financial handling of the temple under intense public and legal scrutiny.

SIT Investigation and Interrogations

In response to the growing allegations, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the Ram Mandir donation theft case. The SIT team visited the Ram Mandir premises today to continue its investigation. Reports indicate that more than 40 people were interrogated yesterday as part of the ongoing inquiry. The three-member SIT consists of senior IPS officer Vijay Vishwas Pant, IPS officer S. Kiran, and Special Secretary of the Finance Department Neel Ratan. The investigation was intensified after Akhilesh Yadav recently raised the issue of missing funds from the temple, making it a focal point of political debate in the state.

Congress Joins the Attack, Demands Judicial Probe

The Uttar Pradesh Congress has also joined the Samajwadi Party in criticizing the government over the issue. UP Congress President Ajay Rai described the theft in offerings as an "organized loot" involving high-ranking individuals appointed by the Prime Minister. Rai expressed skepticism about the SIT, noting that the officers involved were the same ones present during the stampede at the Mahakumbh. He demanded a time-bound investigation by a High Court judge, accusing some of running a "shop" in the name of Lord Ram, while Also, Congress leader Aradhana Misra stated that this is a betrayal of the faith of devotees, specifically pointing out that many of the 1250 missing Shri Ram Shilas were extremely valuable.
