Delhi / Car blew up three schoolgirls crossing the road... the truck crushed one, died

Three girl students going to school were hit by an uncontrolled car on Rohtak Road in Peeragarhi area at around 7:45 am on Wednesday. Due to this, all three of them jumped and fell away. Meanwhile, a truck coming from behind crushed Manisha (18). She died on the spot while Kalpana and Sanjana were seriously injured. Both have been admitted to Balaji Hospital.

As soon as the information about the accident was received, a crowd of people reached the spot. The angry people present there blocked the road for about two and a half hours by keeping the body of the girl student. The police officers who reached the spot somehow understood and removed the people from there. The police have arrested both the car and the truck driver in this case. The three girls studying in class 12 were going to Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya from the slums of Udyog Vihar in Peeragarhi.

Sanjana's father Dinesh Kumar told that the distance of the school from the house is about 500 meters. To cross the road, children risk their lives and cross the road by entering through the railing. On Wednesday, all the three girls had left the house to go to school together. During this, two cars were coming together from the front.

Seeing the girl students, a driver reduced the speed of the car. But after overtaking, another car hit the three hard. After the collision, Sanjana and Kalpana fell on one side of the road while Manisha fell in the middle of the road. At the same time, a truck loaded with LPG cylinders coming from behind could not apply brakes and crushed Manisha.

After the accident people stopped the truck. But the driver fled the spot along with the car. The news of this accident reached the settlement within a few minutes. A huge crowd of people gathered on the spot. The people made a ruckus. Sanjana and Kalpana were taken to Balaji Hospital in injured condition. Sanjana has more than half a dozen fractures on her body. Kalpana is also seriously injured.

People blocked

People kept the Rohtak road closed till around 10.30 am. Somehow, after persuasion, people were removed. People left the road only after getting assurance of foot over bridge, arrest of the accused and getting compensation. Late in the evening, the police arrested the accused car driver Pushpendra at Bhikaji work place, who works in IGL. On the other hand, the truck driver Mukesh was also arrested late in the evening. A broken number plate of the car has been recovered from the spot. Paschim Vihar West police station is investigating after registering a case.
