On the other hand, a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding caste census in Bihar. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Bihar government in this regard and sought its reply. The Supreme Court has asked the Bihar government to respond to the notice within four weeks.

After Bihar, now other states are also announcing to conduct caste census. This is creating pressure on the BJP government at the Centre.
