Lok Sabha Election: Congress Party has released its first list for the Lok Sabha elections. Holding a press conference at the party headquarters today, Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal, Party Treasurer Ajay Maken and Communication General Secretary Jairam Ramesh announced the names of the party candidates. Addressing the media, KC Venugopal said that this election will save the democracy of the country. In this election, youth, farmers and women will remove the anti-people government and bring the India Alliance to power. Let us tell you that this list of Congress Party was being awaited for the last several days.

Addressing the press conference, KC Venugopal said that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which has been going on under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi since January 14, will end in Mumbai on March 17. This yatra will be concluded with a huge rally. KC Venugopal has invited the parties of India Alliance for this closing ceremony.

Rahul Gandhi will contest elections from Wayanad

In the first list, Congress has announced the names of candidates for 39 seats. In this, Rahul Gandhi will contest elections from Wayanad only. Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel will contest from Rajnandgaon. Rajendra Sahu will contest from Durg Lok Sabha. Along with this, Shashi Tharoor will contest from Thiruvananthapuram. DK Suresh, brother of Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, will also contest the Lok Sabha elections from Bengaluru Rural. Along with this, Vikas Upadhyay will contest elections from Raipur.

In the first list, 15 general category and 24 SC/ST/OBC/minorities have been given tickets. Along with this, 12 candidates are below 50 years of age while 8 candidates are between 50 to 60 years of age. There are 7 candidates whose age is 71 to 76 years. In the first list of the party, 6 seats each are from Chhattisgarh and Karnataka. Along with this, it has announced its candidates for 15 seats in Kerala. Names of candidates have been announced for 2 seats from Meghalaya, 1 from Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim and 4 seats from Telangana.
