Deepak Chahar Injury News: The three match T20 series between India and Sri Lanka is going to start from 24 February. But before this bad news has come for Team India. Fast bowler Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the upcoming series due to a muscle strain. Deepak suffered this injury in the last T20 against West Indies.

"He has been ruled out of the series and will complete his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy," an official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said, PTI reported.

Along with this, the official also said that the team has not demanded any other player as the replacement of Deepak Chahar. "The team has not asked for any substitute as the vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah has already joined the team," the official said.

It remains to be seen whether Chahar is fit for the Indian Premier League which is expected to start in the last week of March. Deepak Chahar was bought by Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore.
