Delhi Air Pollution: Pollution remained at its highest level in the national capital on Tuesday also. The air quality index was recorded above 450 in the entire NCR. Looking at the situation, the Central Pollution Control Board has expressed apprehension that this situation may continue for the next three days. In the released report, it has been said that the air quality index in Delhi NCR will remain in a very worrying condition from 7 to 10 November. During this time the entire National Capital Region may turn into a gas chamber.

According to Pollution Board data, overall AQI 399 was recorded in Delhi on Tuesday morning. At the same time, the pollution level in different areas has been beyond 450. AQI 372 was recorded in the pollution monitoring system installed in Pusha. Whereas in Delhi University this figure remained beyond 461. Similarly, 371 cases have been recorded on Lodhi Road, 433 at Airport, 463 in Noida, 417 on Mathura Road and 392 in Ayanagar.

According to the report of the Central Pollution Board, the pollution level in IIT Delhi has been recorded at 416, in Gurugram 369 and in Dhirpur 400. According to the report, apart from 441 in Anand Vihar, 441 in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 and 424 in Nehru Nagar, 427 in Okhla Phase 2, 437 in RK Puram and 418 in Sonia Vihar, AQI 438 has been recorded in Wazirpur. However, to deal with this pollution which has reached dangerous levels, Grape 4 has been implemented in Delhi. Under this system, entry of polluting vehicles into Delhi has been stopped.

While construction activities are being stopped, water sprinkling is being done to reduce dust and smoke. Despite this, no significant relief is expected for the next three days. Due to this pollution, the problems of patients suffering from chronic diseases have increased. It has become especially difficult for respiratory patients. Similarly, patients suffering from cold and cough have also started facing problems. Due to this, there is a flood of patients in all the hospitals. In view of the situation, doctors have advised people to avoid leaving the house as much as possible. Children and elderly people are being asked to take special precautions.
