Torrent Gas has reduced the prices after city gas retailers in Mumbai and Delhi reduced CNG prices. The company said in a statement on Friday, "This has made CNG 45 percent cheaper than petrol and 37 percent cheaper than diesel." The company has CNG to vehicles in 34 districts and piped CNG to homes. There is a license to provide cooking gas.

Regarding the reduction in gas prices, Managing Director of Torrent Gas. Manoj Jain said, “Torrent Gas has always been at the forefront in promoting the use of environment friendly CNG. This reduction in CNG prices is expected to promote new CNG vehicles and increase consumption of natural gas in the transportation sector.

Mahanagar and Indraprastha also reduced prices

It is noteworthy that Mahanagar Gas Limited had announced a reduction in the price of CNG by Rs 2.5 per kg in Mumbai and its surrounding areas on March 6. Due to this, the revised CNG price will be Rs 73.50 per kg. A day later, Indraprastha Gas Ltd announced similar price cuts in Delhi and surrounding cities. The company said that the retail consumer price of CNG is being reduced by Rs 2.50 per kg in all geographical areas of IGL with effect from 6 am on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Due to this, the revised selling price of CNG in Delhi has become Rs 74.09 per kg. This reduction has been made after the softening of natural gas prices.

The company has 428 CNG stations

Torrent Gas said it has 428 CNG stations and more than one lakh piped cooking gas customers across its operational areas. "This reduction in CNG price, besides resulting in greater savings for CNG vehicle owners, is also expected to boost sales of new CNG vehicles across various segments including passenger and commercial," it said. , ''Torrent Gas has invested significantly in building CGD (City Gas Distribution) network infrastructure across its geographical areas.
