Pak's nefarious conspiracy / Drone entered Arnia sector from across the border, BSF jawans fired

Another conspiracy to infiltrate through drones in Jammu and Kashmir was foiled by BSF jawans in the early hours of Saturday. According to the information, Pakistani drone appeared around Pindi Post at around 4.10 am on Saturday morning in Arnia sector of Jammu.

As soon as the soldiers of BSF's 98 Battalion stationed there saw this drone, they fired several rounds at it. Since then, BSF personnel are running a search operation in search of that drone whether weapons or drugs etc. have been dropped from that drone.

A BSF spokesperson said that at 4.10 am, the soldiers heard a drone-like sound after which they came on alert mode. The soldiers started firing in the direction from where the sound was coming. After this the entire area was evacuated and a joint search operation is underway. The soldiers fired 18 rounds within ten minutes as soon as the direction of the drone was detected.

10 days ago a huge amount of ammunition was dropped

Ten days ago, similarly, Lashkar-e-Taiba and its allies had dropped a large consignment of ammunition through drones in RS Pura sector. The arms and ammunition recovered by the police on February 24 included a pistol, two magazines (70 rounds), three detonators, three remote-controlled IEDs, three bottles of gunpowder, a bundle of Cortex strings, six grenades and two timer IEDs. 

In the past one year, security forces have shot down two drones in the Jammu region and confiscated their contents, which included rifles, IEDs, sticky bombs and narcotics.
