Farmer Protest: Farmers have rejected the government's proposal regarding MSP. Farmer leaders at Shambhu border have said that we reject the government's proposal. Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal said, 'After discussion in both the forums and analysis, it was decided that there is nothing in the government's proposal. This is not in favor of farmers. We reject it. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pander said that on February 21, we will march to Delhi in the morning.

That is, it is clear that the talks between the government and the farmers have been unsuccessful. Farmer leaders have made it clear that they will march to Delhi and continue their agitation. After this announcement by the farmers, the difficulties of the general public of Delhi including the government may increase and traffic may be affected. Now it remains to be seen what action the government takes on this.

There was a meeting between the government and farmers on Sunday

The fourth round of meeting was held between farmer leaders and three Union ministers in Chandigarh on Sunday on the issue of legal guarantee of minimum support price (MSP) for crops. The central government had agreed to give MSP on four more crops. Apart from paddy and wheat, the Central Government had also proposed to give MSP on lentil, urad, maize and cotton crops, but for this the farmers will have to sign a five-year agreement with NCCF, NAFED and CCI.

The farmers had decided to consider the government's proposal. The farmers had asked the government to reply before February 21. At the same time, the farmer organizations had not yet announced the end of the movement and since then they were standing at Shambhu Border and Khanauli Border.

Came out and retracted from the proposal given in the meeting

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher claimed that the minister retracted the proposal put before us in the meeting as soon as it came out. It was said in the meeting that 5 crops would be procured on MSP across the country, but after coming out the minister said something else, so we studied the proposal and rejected it. Now farmers will march to Delhi on 21st February.

Government wants to spoil the performance

Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal said that we are people who protest peacefully, the government wants the protest to be violent and bad. We should be allowed to go to Delhi and given a place to protest. Sarwan Singh Pandher said that there is no question of us breaking the barricades and going to Delhi, we have come to get our demands met. We will also defend ourselves. The soldiers who are stopping us are also ours. , If the government forces us, then people will decide whether such a government should come again or not.
