Farmers protesting in front of Tronica City Mandola Housing Development Office at Loni in Ghaziabad district demanding compensation have made serious allegations against the administration. Let us tell you that the farmers of six villages, including Mandola, who have been agitating for almost five years demanding compensation, adopted a unique method of protest and on Wednesday 17 farmers had descended into the pit to take samadhi. The farmers had dug pits in front of the Housing Development Office.

The officials, who had come to talk to the farmers, had given notices to six farmers. The farmers had also rejected the assurance of the officials to walk to Ghaziabad and talk to the DM. Farmer leader Neeraj Tyagi said that the farmers had submitted a memorandum to SDM Loni Shubhangi Shukla in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath 10 days ago and warned them to fulfill the demands of the farmers.

The farmers had said that they would take a living samadhi if the demand was not met by September 14. On Tuesday, the administrative officers had a meeting regarding not taking samadhi from the farmers. But the farmers turned down the proposal of the administrative officers. On Wednesday morning, 17 pits were dug by the farmers in front of the Housing Development Office to take Samadhi. Under the leadership of farmer leader Manveer Teotia, 17 farmers had taken samadhi by descending into the pit.
