On Friday morning, an organization named Hindu Sena has put up a saffron flag at the main gate of JNU. Not only this, this organization has also put up posters named Saffron JNU around the JNU campus and its walls. The matter came to light on Friday morning.

JNU assault case: Vasantkunj police questioned 11 JNU students

Vasantkunj (North) police on Thursday questioned 11 students in connection with the JNU assault case. Of these, eight students are from Left organizations, while three students are from ABVP. These students have accused each other during interrogation. On the other hand, the police have asked for the original copy of the viral video of the assault on the students of both the organizations. Delhi Police is going to write a letter to the JNU administration on Friday to interrogate the staff of Kaveri Hostel.

Left-wing students have alleged that the ABVP and its supporters were protesting against making non-veg in the hostel, a senior official of the South-West district said. He was threatening the secretary of the hostel for making non-veg. When he reached the spot, he was threatening the secretary. When he resisted to intervene, the ABVP members beat him up. At the same time, ABVP people have alleged that Leftists were opposing his havan and obstructing the havan. After that he started pushing and beating. The ABVP members say that they did not oppose making non-veg in the hostel.

According to police officials, more than 30 accused have been identified. Their statements will be recorded soon. Right now the police are recording the statements of the victims. The Mess Committee of Kaveri Hostel will be questioned to get to the bottom of the matter. For this permission will be taken soon by the JNU administration. Apart from this, the security guards posted at places like hostels etc. will be questioned. Police is looking for such students who are not affiliated to any organization and they can tell the truth. The statements of such students will be recorded. On the other hand, the atmosphere in JNU remained calm on Thursday. Gurbar was not posted a police force in JNU.
