INDIA Alliance Mega Rally At Ramlila Maidan Today With 23 Parties - Read Full Report Here

A massive mega rally of the opposition INDIA alliance is being organized today at the historic Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. A massive crowd of people has started gathering in large numbers at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi to participate in this Save Vote, Save Country rally, which has been called in protest against alleged discrepancies in the voter lists and the special intensive revision process, while the rally is scheduled to be held until 5 PM in the evening. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had made a passionate appeal to everyone, including students, civil society groups, and all citizens, to participate in this rally in large numbers. Following this call by Rahul Gandhi, strict security arrangements have been put in place at and around the Ramlila Maidan.

Ahead of the INDIA alliance's Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao mega rally in Delhi today, prominent opposition leaders have been gathering at the official residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Several senior leaders have already arrived at Kharge's residence to attend the meetings, including Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Chief Minister of Kerala, former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal, Randeep Surjewala, and Priyanka Gandhi. Following the meetings at Kharge's residence, all these leaders will depart together for the Ramlila Maidan, where the opposition will raise its voice strongly against the Election Commission and the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

Leaders from a total of 23 political parties, including Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, are participating in this grand show of strength by the INDIA bloc at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. Organizers have claimed that nearly 10 lakh people are expected to gather at the venue. In view of the expected massive turnout, the Delhi Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory to ensure smooth movement and law and order, while meanwhile, on Sunday morning, supporters of several Left parties reached the New Delhi Railway Station to participate in the mega rally at Ramlila Maidan. Party workers gathered outside the station carrying flags and banners so that they could join the people heading towards the rally venue.

People started arriving at the Ramlila Maidan in large numbers since early morning. Speaking about the arrangements, DCP Central Rohit Rajbir told the media, “As you can see, people have started arriving to participate in this rally since 5:30 AM. Our arrangements are very well organized. We're facilitating the arrival of the participants and also ensuring that local residents don't face any kind of inconvenience.

DCP Central Rohit Rajbir further stated, “We've covered the entire area with 200 to 250 CCTV cameras.

Addressing concerns and rumors regarding traders in connection with the rally, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared an important post via his social media account. Rahul Gandhi assured the traders that they won't suffer any losses due to the rally. Launching a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, he said that the BJP is scared and That's why spreading rumors. He appealed to the people to participate in the rally and also do a little shopping, which could help local traders and boost their businesses. Prior to the main rally, leaders of the INDIA bloc will also take a foot march from Connaught Place to Ramlila Maidan.
