Indian Railways on Friday announced that it is running 179 pairs of special trains (2269 trips) till Chhath Puja 2022 this year to avoid any inconvenience to the extra rush during the festive season. This year the festive season that started with Ganesh Chaturthi from August 31 will end with Navratri and Durga from September 25 to October 5 with Diwali on October 24 and Chhath Puja on October 31. This festive season is likely to see more rush of passengers. Because due to Corona virus, there was a decrease in the number of passengers in the last two-three years. Now their number has increased, keeping in mind that Indian Railways has decided to operate 179 pairs of special trains.

Passengers will get better facilities during the festive season

According to news agency ANI, the Ministry of Railways said, "Indian Railways is running 2,269 trips of 179 pairs of special trains till Chhath Puja this year to manage the extra rush of passengers during the festive season." According to an official statement, the Central Railway has notified 100 journeys of seven pairs of special trains.

How many pairs of trains for which zone?

Apart from this, East Central Railway has notified 128 journeys of 9 pairs of special trains. Eastern Coastal Railway has notified 94 trips of 6 pairs of special trains, Eastern Railway will run 108 trips with 14 pairs of special trains. At the same time, Northern Railway has notified 368 journeys of 35 pairs of special trains, North Central Railway has given information about 223 journeys of 8 pairs of special trains.
