The tragic death of 9-year-old Amayra, a student at the prestigious Neerja. Modi School in Jaipur, has escalated into a major political and administrative controversy. Amayra allegedly jumped from the fourth floor of the school in Mansarovar on Saturday, leading to her untimely demise, while this heartbreaking incident has not only plunged Amayra's family into profound grief but has also raised serious questions about school safety and management practices across the city.

Deputy CM's Emotional Visit and Assurance

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari visited Amayra's residence in Muralipura on Tuesday to meet the bereaved family. The visit was marked by deeply emotional moments, as Diya Kumari gathered full details of the incident from Amayra's relatives and offered them solace. Expressing her profound sorrow, she stated, 'May God grant peace to Amayra's soul and provide strength to the family in this difficult time. ' According to sources, the family conveyed their anguish and their grievances regarding the school management's alleged conduct directly to the Deputy CM. In this poignant atmosphere, Diya Kumari not only wiped away their tears but also assured them that the government would provide all possible assistance in this serious matter and would leave no stone unturned to uncover the truth. Her visit served as a significant moral support for the grieving family.

Education Minister's Firm Stance and Warning

Prior to the Deputy CM's visit, on November 2, School Education Minister Madan Dilawar had also visited Amayra's home to express his condolences, while following his meeting, Dilawar made it clear that stringent action would be taken against Neerja Modi School based on the investigation report. His primary focus is on whether the school management obstructed education department officials who arrived to conduct the inquiry, while in a stern tone, he warned, 'If this is found to be true, further action will set an example,' implying a precedent-setting punishment to deter similar future conduct by other school managements. The minister also stated that the government is thoroughly investigating the rules under which the school obtained its No Objection Certificate (NOC) and how it secured affiliation with the CBSE. Dilawar described the incident occurring in a reputable private school as 'shocking,' highlighting potential systemic flaws within the educational framework.

Serious Allegations of Non-Cooperation in Investigation

A critical and deeply concerning aspect of this entire affair is the serious allegation of non-cooperation leveled against the school management by the education department team that arrived to investigate immediately after the incident. A six-member team, led by District Education Officer (Primary) Ram Niwas Sharma, reached the school for investigation. Officials claim they were made to wait for over an hour and a half at the main gate, but neither the principal nor any representative of the school met with them. The main gate was locked from the inside, and repeated knocking yielded no response, thereby hindering the investigative process. Following this alleged severe non-cooperation, the department has indicated that it's considering even revoking the school's recognition, which could spell significant trouble for the school management. These allegations raise serious questions about the school's transparency and accountability.

Intensive Investigation into Cause of Death Continues

According to the police, 9-year-old student Amayra allegedly jumped from the fourth floor of Neerja Modi School in Mansarovar on Saturday, leading to her death, while however, Abhishek Jain, spokesperson for the Joint Parents' Association, has made grave accusations regarding the incident. He claimed that Amayra took this extreme step due to a teacher's behavior and that the school administration attempted to destroy evidence after the incident. These allegations have further complicated the case. Currently, an intensive police and administrative investigation is underway to ascertain the exact causes of Amayra's death. Investigating agencies are examining all aspects, including the school's CCTV footage, statements from staff, and other relevant evidence, to uncover the truth behind this tragic incident and bring those responsible to justice.
