JJM Scam: Mahesh Joshi Sent to Jail, Sanjay Badaya Breaks Down in Court

The legal proceedings in the high-profile Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scam in Rajasthan took a significant turn on Monday as former District Minister Mahesh Joshi and alleged middleman Sanjay Badaya were produced before the court, while the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had previously arrested Mahesh Joshi from his residence on May 7, following which he was sent on a four-day remand. The ACB emphasized that confronting the two suspects with each other's statements is necessary to clarify the discrepancies in the tender allocation process. The ACB had taken Badaya into custody at the Delhi airport around 2 AM and subsequently brought him to Jaipur for questioning.
