Jaipur / Kalraj Mishra took oath as Rajasthan Governor today

Kalraj Mishra took oath as Governor at Raj Bhavan on Monday. He was administered the oath of office by the High Court Chief Justice Ravindra S. Bhatt. Chief Minister Ashog Gehlot, Assembly Speaker CP Joshi, Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and members of the state cabinet and many prominent personalities attended the swearing-in ceremony. After taking the oath, the Governor was given the Guard of Honor.

Earlier in the morning, he reached Motidungari Ganesh Temple. He visited Lord Ganesha in the temple. He was accompanied by his wife Satyavati. He performed special puja in the temple. Kalraj reached the temple like a common man. For Mishra, he put up a car with Ashokan pillar in the Raj Bhavan guest house, then he refused saying that we have to take care of the convenience of the people. Therefore, put an ordinary car. Mishra also refused to impose police seizure. Mishra left the Raj Bhavan like a common man. No traffic was stopped on the way. It is noteworthy that Kalraj will take oath as Governor in the afternoon. Kalraj reached Jaipur on Sunday evening. Kalraj reached Jaipur by state plane. He was received at the Jaipur airport by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Assembly Speaker CP Joshi, Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and Mayor Vishnu Lata.

On reaching Jaipur, he was given a guard of honor outside the airport hangar. Several ministers were present at the airport including ministers Raghu Sharma, Pratapsinga Khachariwas. Kalraj rested at the Raj Bhavan at night. It is noteworthy that Kalraj has recently been appointed as the Governor of Rajasthan. He was currently the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. He has been appointed as the Governor of Rajasthan at the end of the five-year tenure of Governor Kalyan Singh.
