Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced that a special campaign is being started in Delhi for people above 45 years, whose name is 'Jahan Vote Wahan Vaccination' from today. If there is no shortage of vaccine, then under this campaign all people above 45 years of age will be vaccinated in Delhi in 4 weeks.

Kejriwal said that not many people are coming to the vaccination centers. In Delhi, a team of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit every house in the next 2 days and provide a slot for vaccination as part of the preparations for the planned booth level vaccination. The BLO will celebrate those who do not want to get vaccinated.

The Chief Minister said that under this campaign, we would go door-to-door and say that wherever you go to cast your vote, you should go there and we have made arrangements for your vaccination there. It will be started from 70 wards of Delhi from today and the campaign will be completed in all 280 wards in 4 weeks.

Today, training is being given to the Booth Level Officer (BLO) of the 70 wards where this campaign is being started. These BLOs will go to every house for the next 2 days and ask who are the people above 45 years of age, have they been vaccinated, if not, they will come by giving them a slot to get the vaccine.

In June, in the 18-44 category, apply Covaccine only to those who take the second dose

The Delhi government on Sunday directed private hospitals and nursing homes to administer the vaccine only to those taking the second dose in the 18-44 years age group in the month of June or till further orders.

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has asked senior officials of health and revenue departments and district magistrates to ensure that the order is followed in letter and spirit. The order said that the DDMA directs that all private hospitals and nursing homes acting as COVID vaccination centers for the vaccine shall ensure that the vaccine is used only by those (aged 18-44 years) till June or further orders. age) who are eligible to receive a second dose of vaccination during this period.

According to the order, if any person is found violating the instructions, action will be taken against him as per the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, Indian Penal Code, Epidemic Act and other applicable laws.

The Delhi Health Department on Thursday issued an order directing all government COVID immunization centers in the age group of 18-44 years to administer the vaccine to only those eligible for a second dose in June or till further orders. The Delhi government has temporarily closed the vaccination centers in the age group of 18-44 due to non-availability of vaccine. Some private hospitals are vaccinating in this category.
