The legal challenges for Faisal Khan, widely recognized as Khan Sir, have escalated Notably as the Patna Police registered an FIR against him under the Arms Act. This development follows a series of violent events at his coaching institute, Khan Global Studies (KGS), situated in the Kadam Kuan police station area of Patna. The authorities are now preparing to interrogate Khan Sir regarding the incident, and a special team has been officially constituted to lead the investigation. The case has sent shockwaves through the coaching hub of Bihar, highlighting the intense rivalry between educational institutions.
Details of the Tuesday Night Attack
The incident unfolded late Tuesday night when the Khan Global Coaching Center was targeted by a mob. According to police reports and eyewitness accounts, a group of 15 to 20 individuals allegedly launched an assault on the premises. The attackers engaged in heavy stone-pelting and vandalism, damaging the property of the institute. During the ruckus, the security guards on duty were also subjected to physical assault. Initially, Khan Sir claimed that the firing was carried out by individuals from a rival coaching center right in front of his eyes. However, he later modified his statement, which added a layer of complexity to the police probe.
Viral Video and Arrest of Security Guards
The investigation took a decisive turn when a video of the incident began circulating on social media platforms. The footage allegedly showed two security guards associated with the Khan Global Studies institute firing rifles into the air. Following the verification of this video, the police identified and arrested the two guards. The arrested individuals have been identified as Pradip Kumar, a resident of Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh, and Kaleshwar, a resident of Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh. During police interrogation, both guards admitted to the act, stating that they resorted to aerial firing in self-defense after the mob began the assault and stone-pelting.
Forensic Investigation and Rivalry Allegations
The Patna Police have seized the rifles used during the incident and have sent them for forensic examination to determine the nature of the ammunition used and the circumstances of the firing. A separate FIR has also been registered at the Kadam Kuan police station for creating terror through unauthorized firing. While the director of the Gyan Bindu coaching institute and two others have already been arrested and sent to jail in connection with the violence, Khan Sir himself is now under the scanner. On the other hand, representatives from the rival coaching institute held a press conference on Thursday, where a member named Adarsh alleged that Khan Sir had orchestrated the entire conspiracy himself to frame his competitors. They claimed that the story of external firing was fabricated, pointing to the video of Khan Sir's own guards firing weapons as evidence.
Current Status of the Investigation
The City Superintendent of Police's office issued a statement confirming that the investigation is being conducted with high priority. The police are examining all angles, including the possibility of a pre-planned conspiracy and the legality of the weapons used by the security personnel. As the special team prepares to question Faisal Khan, the focus remains on whether the firing was a genuine act of self-defense or a calculated move to intimidate rivals. The authorities have emphasized that no one involved in creating public disorder or violating the Arms Act will be spared, regardless of their professional standing.
