Khatu Shyamji Putrada Ekadashi Fair: Baba Darbar Decorated With Rare Flowers And Dry Fruits

The two-day monthly fair for Putrada Ekadashi has commenced at the world-famous Khatu Shyamji temple in Sikar. With the coincidence of Sunday and Ekadashi, a massive influx of devotees is expected. Special security and facilities, including 24-hour temple access and floral decorations, have been arranged by the administration.

The world-renowned Khatu Shyamji Dham in Sikar has officially commenced its two-day monthly fair on the auspicious occasion of Putrada Ekadashi during the month of Sawan. The fair, which began on Sunday, is witnessing a massive surge of devotees from across the country, while the convergence of Sunday and Ekadashi has created a significant spiritual significance, leading to expectations of an exceptionally large crowd at Khatu Dham. In response to this anticipated influx, the Shri Shyam Mandir Committee and the district administration have implemented comprehensive arrangements to ensure the convenience and safety of all visiting pilgrims.

Exquisite Decorations and Spiritual Rituals

Manvendra Singh Chauhan, the Minister of the Shri Shyam Mandir Committee, provided details regarding the elaborate preparations for the deity. For this special occasion, the sanctum sanctorum and the court of Baba Shyam have been adorned with rare flowers specially sourced from Kolkata and Bengaluru. In addition to these floral tributes, a variety of dry fruits have been used to enhance the divine aesthetic of the temple. During the Shringar Aarti, Baba Shyam was presented in a transcendental form with unique decorations that captivated the hearts of the devotees. To combat the prevailing heat and provide relief to the pilgrims standing in queues, the temple management has initiated the continuous spraying of water and rose water throughout the temple premises. The number of devotees arriving at Khatu Dham after completing their foot journey or padyatra from Ringas is also seeing a steady increase.

Robust Security Measures and Surveillance

To manage the massive crowds and maintain order, a significant police force has been deployed under the leadership of DYSP Rajesh Kumar Jangid and Station House Officer Indraj Marodia. SHO Indraj Marodia confirmed that more than 650 personnel are currently stationed at the fair site to manage security operations. This force includes members of the Rajasthan Police, Home Guards, RAC jawans, and dedicated volunteers from the temple committee. To ensure constant vigilance, a 24 hour monitoring system has been established through a centralized control room. This control room utilizes a network of CCTV cameras strategically placed across the fair area and temple premises to keep a close watch on every movement and manage the crowd flow effectively.

Continuous Darshan and Fair Conclusion

Recognizing the immense spiritual importance of seeking blessings on Ekadashi, the temple authorities have decided to keep the doors of the temple open for 24 hours during this two-day fair. This decision ensures that devotees can have darshan at any time of the day or night without the usual afternoon or night closures. However, the temple doors will be briefly closed for short intervals during the specific times of Baba Shyam's shringar or ritual makeup. The two-day monthly fair is scheduled to conclude on Monday on the occasion of Dwadashi. The formal end of the fair will take place following the Shayan Aarti of Baba Shyam. Both the temple committee and the local administration have issued an appeal to all devotees to maintain discipline, follow the security guidelines, and cooperate with the personnel on duty to ensure a smooth and peaceful pilgrimage experience for everyone.
