A truck was carrying the procured paddy towards Amarpatan near Itma river Tir village, about 20 km from Satna district headquarters. The auto rickshaw was overtaking the truck near the river when the truck overturned on it. Gyanendra Mishra, his mother and wife and daughter were sitting in the auto rickshaw. Gyanendra Mishra's mother Bantana Devi Mishra, wife Nirmala Mishra and daughter Ritu Mishra, including the driver Lakhpati, died on the spot after falling on the truck, auto rickshaw. Along with the women, Gyanendra Mishra of the family was also in the auto rickshaw who suffered serious injuries.

Chief Minister Shivraj expressed grief

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has condoled the untimely death of four civilians in a road accident at Amarpatan in Satna district. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan in his condolence message has prayed to God to give place to the departed souls at his feet and give strength to the bereaved family members to bear the loss. He wished speedy recovery to the civilians injured in the accident and directed the doctors to provide proper treatment to the injured.

Big accident averted here

On the other hand, another major accident was averted in Satna city itself. The wheel of a truck laden with paddy slipped in the city's busiest station road. However, the good thing is that no one was hurt in this accident. It is said that the truck whose wheel came out was overloaded.
