Even after this, the attacker kept shouting with a knife. The incident happened on Monday afternoon. Maldivian Minister of State for Environment Ali Solih was going on his scooty.

Attacked after reading Quranic verses

The video of this incident is also going viral on social media. It is being told that he was going on his scooty in Hulhumale when the attacker came forward and stopped him. He then read some verses of the Quran and stabbed him directly on the neck with a knife. Solih protested and tried to hold hands. The knife did not hit the neck even after two or three attempts. However, the minister has suffered a serious injury on his hand.

After that he ran away after saving his life. He left the scooter there. The attacker was later arrested. Let us tell you that Solih's party Jumhuri Party has an alliance with the Democratic Party of Maldives. He is a minister in President Ibrahim's government.

President has also been attacked

Solih is being treated at a hospital in Hulhumale. Let us tell you that in May 2021, the former President of Maldives Mohamed Nasheed was also attacked. A bomb was detonated outside his residence. A bomb was planted in a bike parked near Nasheed's car. After being injured in this attack, Nasheed was airlifted to Germany.
