Assembly Elections 2023 / Mallikarjun Kharge prepares new CWC team, Rahul Gandhi's 'special' man also got place

Assembly Elections 2023: Before the assembly elections to be held in several states including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, the Congress on Sunday announced its new Working Committee (CWC), in which the party's new president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, former Many veteran leaders including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh have been kept, although special care has also been taken of Rahul Gandhi's special people and efforts have been made to give place to every section in this new team.

Nearly 10 months after becoming the president in October last year, Kharge has formed his Congress Working Committee. This committee is the highest decision-making body in the party. In the new list released by party general secretary KC Venugopal, 39 people have been kept in the Congress Working Committee while 32 permanent invitees and 9 special invitees have also been included.

Place for many close friends of Rahul in CWC

Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former Defense Minister AK Antony, former Speaker Meira Kumar, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, besides former Union Ministers P Chidambaram, Anand Sharma and Shashi Tharoor, along with some other senior leaders have also been included in the CWC. However, if we look at the working committee, there have not been any significant changes in it, in a way it can be said that old wine in a new bottle.


Party president Kharge has also given place to leaders who are called special from Rahul Gandhi in his new team. Former Delhi Minister Ajay Maken, former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Jairam Ramesh and Jitendra Prasad have been kept in Rahul's team. Apart from these, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, who rebelled against the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan, has also got a place in the CWC.

Height of Supriya Shrinate and Alka Lamba increased

Apart from these, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Avinash Pandey, KC Venugopal, Gaurav Gogoi, Sayeed Nasir Hussain and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh have also got a place, who are considered to be part of Rahul Gandhi's team.


Mallikarjun Kharge's new team announced

Apart from the working committee, Rahul's team has also got special preference among the 39-member permanent invitees. Rahul's very close MPs Manickam Tagore, Dipendra Singh Hooda, former MPs Meenakshi Natarajan, Rajni Patel, Kanhaiya Kumar and Sachin Rao have been kept in this team. Manickam Tagore is the Lok Sabha MP from Virudhnagar seat. Apart from this, Palvam Raju, Pawan Kheda, Supriya Shrinet and Alka Lamba, who are said to be Rahul's special invitees, have also been included in the 9-member special invitee team.
