The period of communal violence in the country is not taking its name to stop. The latest case is of Vadodara in Gujarat where at least three people were injured in an incident of communal violence that broke out after a road accident on Raopura road in the old city area on Sunday night.

Violence after debate, vandalized an idol of Sai Baba

According to local sources, an argument broke out between the vehicle owners after the accident and soon members of both the communities joined in. After some time the situation worsened when some miscreants started pelting stones and started vandalizing the vehicle. According to sources they attacked religious places and vandalized an idol of Sai Baba.

Now the situation is normal: Vadodara Police Commissioner

While giving information about the incident, Vadodara City Police Commissioner Shamsher Singh said that the clash took place over a road accident and both the groups clashed with each other. Three people have received minor injuries. Now the situation is normal. We are registering a complaint.

Violence took place even during Hanuman Janmotsav

The incident comes a day after communal clashes were witnessed in several cities across the country during Hanuman Janmotsav processions on Saturday. Violence broke out in northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on Saturday, leaving nine people, including eight police personnel and a civilian, injured. After this, Delhi Police has arrested 21 people and arrested two juveniles while increasing the security to maintain law and order in the area.
