Actually this decision has been taken in the meeting of Mahakal Management Committee. Under this, all the devotees will be given entry in the sanctum sanctorum of the Mahakal temple. From Tuesday to Friday, devotees will be able to have darshan in the sanctum sanctorum between 1 pm to 4 pm. Entry will also be free from VIP gate. Earlier there was a protocol fee of hundred rupees but that has been abolished.

Apart from this, five receipts of 1500 rupees a day to Pandits and priests for entering the sanctum sanctorum have been increased to 10. It was decided that the priests and priests would be allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum on a day from 6 am to 9 am, 12 noon to 1 pm and 6 to 8 pm with a Jalabhishek receipt of Rs 1500. It was also decided by the temple committee to light 51 thousand lamps at various fixed places in the Deepotsav on Mahashivratri. In the Shayan Aarti in the temple, lamps will be lit with the help of the devotees.

In view of the corona infection, the entry of common devotees in the sanctum sanctorum was stopped. The VIPs who visited the protocol were given entry with a fee of Rs. This fee has ended from Wednesday.
