Tuesday Trading Session Details

Analyst Perspectives and Future Outlook
Despite the recent price correction, some market analysts maintain a positive outlook on the NSE stock. Sunny Agrawal, Head of Fundamental Research at SBI Securities, noted that the growth in the capital market and overall market sentiment could serve as catalysts for the stock in the short to medium term. He pointed out that while NSE's valuation might appear expensive when compared to global peers such as Cboe, Nasdaq, ICE, and Euronext, Indian exchanges often command a premium due to the rapid growth in domestic capital market volumes. However, he also highlighted significant risks, particularly regarding regulatory interventions aimed at curbing excessive speculation and over-trading. Since approximately 60 percent of NSE's revenue is currently derived from options trading, any major regulatory changes in the derivatives segment could pose a challenge. Nevertheless, the revenue mix is gradually evolving, with the contribution of transaction-based business slowly decreasing.
