Petrol Diesel Price / Petrol ₹ 9.50 cheaper and diesel ₹ 7 cheaper, subsidy of ₹ 200 on domestic gas cylinder

The central government has decided to reduce the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 and on diesel by Rs 6 per liter. With this, petrol will be cheaper by Rs 9.50 and diesel by Rs 7 per liter. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has given this information. The new rates will be applicable from 12 o'clock tonight. Recently, PM Modi had advised the states to reduce the excise duty to give relief to the people from inflation.


The Finance Minister said that a subsidy of Rs 200 will be given this year on the cylinder with PM Ujjwala scheme. A family will get 12 cylinders in a year. 9 crore families will get the benefit of this. Earlier, on November 3, 2021, the central government had reduced the excise duty on petrol by Rs 10 per liter and on diesel by Rs 5 per liter.


Congress leader Randeep Surjewala has targeted the government regarding this announcement. He said- 'The government increased the price of petrol by Rs 10 in 60 days and is now reducing it by Rs 9.50. At the same time, diesel prices were increased by Rs 10 in 60 days and now it is being reduced by Rs 7. The government should stop fooling people.
