Delhi Police reached Jaipur late on Saturday night to arrest Rohit, son of Rajasthan minister Mahesh Joshi. Rohit is accused of raping the girl several times. Police team searched Mahesh Joshi's house, but Rohit was not found there. Here the servant and the daughter-in-law of the minister were found. Here, Minister Mahesh Joshi said that if the police will contact me, then I will cooperate in the inquiry.
Before searching the minister's house, Delhi Police had informed Jaipur Police. After this, the search operation went on till around 4 am on Sunday morning at Mahesh Joshi's private residence located opposite Jaipur railway station. Now the team has left for Sawai Madhopur for investigation. In Sawai Madhopur, the room of the house where Rohit had made a video of raping the girl for the first time.
Notice to appear in police station on May 18Delhi Police said that a case of rape has been registered against Rohit Joshi by a girl from Jaipur at Sadar Bazar police station in Delhi. Police tried to contact Rohit over phone, but his phone is switched off. The notice was pasted at the minister's private residence after Rohit was not found. In the notice, Rohit has been asked to appear in the police station before 1 pm on May 18.
The complaint was lodged by the victim in DelhiThe victim told in the complaint that Rohit Joshi kept exploiting her from January 2021 to April 2022 on the pretext of marriage. When the victim protested against Rohit's actions, she was beaten up a lot. The victim has accused Rohit of committing atrocities at different places in Sawai Madhopur, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and Jaipur. Along with this, the victim has also accused Rohit of threatening to kill and blackmailing the entire family by threatening her father Mahesh Joshi. The victim has also urged Rohit and his father Mahesh Joshi to provide security to the Delhi Police citing threat to their lives and that of their family. At present, Delhi Police has registered a case under sections 376, 328, 312, 366, 377, 506 and 509 of IPC and sent it to Women's Police Station Sawai Madhopur for investigation.
