Rajasthan / Raj postpones Class 10, 12 exams; to promote Class 8, 9, 11 students without exams

RBSE Class 10, 12 Exam 2021: In view of the second wave of corona virus, the state government has postponed the 10th and 12th board examinations to be conducted by Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (BSER), Ajmer. At the same time, students of class VIII, IX and 11th will also be promoted in their next classes.

The decision in this regard has been taken after discussion with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot with Minister of State for Education Govind Singh Dotasara.

Students of 8th, 9th and 11th will also be promoted:

Along with this, the state government has also decided to promote students of class VIII to class IX, students of class IX to class X and students of class 11 to class 12.

The decision was taken on Wednesday in a meeting with leaders of various parties, NGOs and religious leaders headed by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara advised that the board exams of class 10, 12 should be postponed. The new dates of examinations can be considered in 15-20 days if the conditions are normal.

He said that this isa class 8 board exam should also be canceled and the students should be promoted to the next class. The current situation would be better if schools are closed.

Earlier, the Education Department of Rajasthan has already decided to promote students from first class to 5th.

While ensuring his support of the government under the Corona control, Deputy Leader of the Opposition Rajendra Singh Rathore said that more strict steps should be taken to control the situation. Travelers coming from other states should not enter the state without tests and without masks.

He said that the corona second wave is more dangerous than the first, but people are not serious. There is a need to raise awareness in this regard.

It is noteworthy that in view of Corona virus infection, the Rajasthan government had already decided not to conduct any examination in the current education session till the seventh grade in government schools. The children of these classes will be promoted to the next class on the basis of assessment.
