Rajasthan: Final Voter List Published After SIR, 44.27 Lakh Names Removed

The Rajasthan Election Department has released the final voter list following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). According to official data, 44.27 lakh names were removed and 12.91 lakh new voters were added. The state now has a total of 5.15 crore registered voters.

The Rajasthan Election Department has officially published the final electoral rolls following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. According to the data released by the authorities, the revision has led to significant changes in the state's voter database. 91 lakh new voters were successfully added. Following these updates, the total number of registered voters in Rajasthan now stands at 5,15,19,929.

Background and Timeline of the Revision Process

According to election officials, the first draft of the electoral roll under the SIR program was published on December 16. Following the draft publication, a one-month window was provided for citizens to file objections and submit applications for new registrations. As of October 27, 2025, the total number of voters in the state was 5,46,56,215. This number dropped to 5,04,71,324 during the draft publication on December 16. Between the draft and the final publication, 12,91,365 names were added, while 2,42,760 names were removed.

Net Reduction in Voter Count and ASD Category

The SIR process resulted in a net decrease of 31,36,286 voters compared to the October 2025 figures. Officials stated that a total of 41,84,891 names were removed under the ASD (Absent, Shifted, and Dead) category. Despite the addition of over 12 lakh new voters after the draft publication, the overall count remains lower than the previous year's peak. The final count of 5,15,19,929 reflects a more accurate and updated database of eligible voters in the state.

Gender-wise and Demographic Breakdown

The final publication reveals a detailed breakdown of the electorate. Out of the total 5,15,19,929 voters, male voters account for 2,69,57,881, while female voters number 2,45,61,486. On top of that, the state has 562 registered transgender voters. 08 percent increase in the total number of voters, amounting to an addition of 10,48,605 individuals during the final phase of the revision.

A key focus of the revision was the inclusion of young voters in the 18 to 19 age group. 82 percent. 09 percent.
