SI Recruitment 2021 / Rajasthan High Court cancels SI Recruitment-2021, role of 6 members of RPSC in paper leak

Rajasthan High Court on Thursday cancelled the SI recruitment 2021. Evidence of large-scale paper leak and fraud was found in the examination held for 859 posts. The court ordered that these posts be included in the 2025 recruitment and all the candidates be given a chance again.

SI Recruitment 2021: The Rajasthan High Court on Thursday gave a historic decision to cancel the 2021 Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam. This recruitment was conducted for 859 posts, but it was canceled after serious allegations of paper leak and copying. Hearing the case, a single bench of Justice Sameer Jain said that the recruitment process has been completely corrupted and it is not appropriate to continue it.

Paper leak and copying exposed

The court said in its decision that the recruitment paper was spread all over the state. The investigation found that six members of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) were involved in the scam. Apart from this, the paper also reached the infamous Bluetooth gang. The court made it clear that the recruitment cannot be considered valid under such circumstances.

Justice Jain said, "It is impossible to sort out the right and wrong candidates. Many candidates took the exam honestly, and we sympathize with them. But if even a single ineligible person becomes a police station in-charge through paper leak, it will be dangerous for the law and order of the state." Court's instructions

The High Court directed the government to include 859 posts of the 2021 recruitment in the new recruitment of 2025. Also, all the candidates included in the 2021 recruitment should be given an opportunity to re-apply in the new recruitment. The court also said that action should be taken against those members of RPSC who have been found involved in this scam.

Comment on RPSC members

Petitioner's lawyer Harendra Neel said that the court made strong comments on the role of former RPSC member Babulal Katara and five other members—Ramuram Raika, Manju Sharma, and others including the chairman at the time of the interview. The court said, "Only the one who betrays the house can destroy Lanka, and here Babulal Katara destroyed the whole Lanka." The court has sent the matter before the Chief Justice for administrative action.

Reactions of leaders and youth

Kirodi Lal Meena, Agriculture Minister

Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena welcomed the decision and said, "This is the victory of truth. I had documents on the basis of which more than 50% of the candidates were selected fraudulently. If such people had joined the police service, the law and order situation in the state would have been terrible." He said that the government had caught only 58 fake candidates, but in reality this number was much higher.

Hanuman Beniwal, RLP MP

RLP MP Hanuman Beniwal, who had been demanding the cancellation of this recruitment for a long time, expressed happiness over the decision. Celebrating with supporters, he said, "Many BJP leaders and officials wanted to save this recruitment. Now there will be a race to take credit, but everyone knows who stood with the youth. If the decision had come contrary to this, we would have marched to Delhi."

Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President

Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasara termed this decision as a failure of the government. He said, "This decision has been taken by the High Court, not the government. The Chief Minister will now challenge it in the double bench, because his priority is not to give justice to the youth. This government has completely failed in taking decisions."

Youth's enthusiasm

The youth protesting at the Shahid Smarak in Jaipur welcomed the decision. They said, "Four years of hard work has paid off. This is the defeat of dictatorship and the victory of unemployed youth."
