Lok Sabha Election: Commenting on BJP candidate Hema Malini from Mathura Lok Sabha seat of UP has cost Congress leader Randeep Surjewala a lot. The Election Commission has taken strict action on this and has banned Congress leader Randeep Surjewala from campaigning for 48 hours.

What is the whole matter?

Actually, when Randeep Surjewala was addressing a public meeting in Kaithal, Haryana, he had made indecent remarks on BJP leader and Mathura MP Hema Malini. However, later Surjewala also presented his clarification in this matter and said that his intention was not to insult Hema Malini.

Surjewala had also said that his statement has been distorted. The Election Commission had issued a show cause notice to Surjewala in this matter on April 9. Surjewala had time till April 11 to reply.

On this notice, Surjewala had said that this video was tampered and posted on social media. My intention was not to insult any actress.

What did Hema Malini say on Surjewala's statement?

Hema Malini had said on Surjewala's statement, 'The public is with me. Whatever comments he (Surjewala) is making, let him make it. What happens when they comment? It doesn't matter to me. I'm just doing my job.
