Delhi / Red light broken, chopped challan and accused of rape came under police custody

The absconding accused of rape found it difficult to break the red beacon in Delhi. Through its challan, the police reached the accused. The police had got the location of the accused in Delhi from the challan and it came to know that the accused has returned to Delhi. His mobile number was found from his Aadhar card. Police arrested him on Wednesday through challan and mobile.


It was learned that the court had declared the accused a fugitive. The brother-in-law of the accused had committed a scam of Rs 700 crore in the case of buying a mobile for Rs 251. The accused has been identified as Vikas Kumar Mittal (45), a resident of Bindsar Apartment, Vaibhav Khand, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.


According to the South-West District Police officials, the accused had the business of event management in the year 2020. He had raped the girl working in his office in the office. He had given the girl intoxicant in a cold drink. Dwarka (South) police station had arrested Vikas Kumar Mittal by registering a case of rape.


The court had granted one month's final bail to the accused in the year 2021. But he did not surrender after a month in jail and escaped. In this case, the court had declared him a fugitive on October 16, 2021. The investigation of the case was handed over to the Crime Branch of Delhi Police from Dwarka (South). After getting bail, he fled to Hyderabad.


The team of Havildar Yogesh Kumar and Havildar Vinod Kumar was looking for him under the supervision of Kishangarh Police Station Officer Binod Kumar. The case file contained the number of his eco sports car.


Havildar Vinod Kumar learned from Delhi Traffic Police that recently this car has been challaned in Delhi. When the traffic police checked their records, it was found that the accused's car has been challaned for red light jumping in Delhi. Due to this the police team came to know that the accused had returned to Delhi from Hyderabad. After this the police got his new mobile number from the card given on his Aadhar card. Its Aadhar card was attached in the case file.


Police team sold Chole-Kulche

The team of Havildar Vinod Kumar and Yogesh Kumar sold chickpeas for two days in front of Vaibhav Khand and started keeping an eye on the car. On April 4, the Eco sports car was seen entering the Vaibhav block. The car was being driven by the driver of the accused. The police team reached the accused through the driver and arrested him.
