A meeting of MLAs has been called once again at 7 pm.

MLAs meeting held at CM residence

Earlier, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has finally reached the Chief Minister's residence where he presided over the meeting of the ruling coalition MLAs on the current political situation in the state. There was confusion regarding his address and whereabouts for the last several hours. Later he reached his official residence in Ranchi and participated in the meeting.

Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren was also present in the meeting.

Giving this information on Tuesday, a source in the Chief Minister's Office said that Soren had reached his official residence after midnight. In pictures and videos shared on social media platform 'X', a large number of MLAs and ministers were seen greeting Soren before attending the meeting. Chief Minister's wife Kalpana Soren was also present in the meeting. All MLAs of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led ruling alliance in Jharkhand were asked not to leave the state capital and attend the meeting.

Two MLAs refused to accept Kalpana Soren as CM - Nishikant

Meanwhile, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey told on social media platform 'X' that two party MLAs have refused to accept Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren or any other MLA as the Chief Minister. He wrote, 'According to the current information, MLA Sita Soren ji and MLA Basant Soren ji have refused to accept Chief Minister Hemant Soren ji's wife Kalpana Soren ji or other MLAs as the Chief Minister. Both the MLAs are absent from the legislature party meeting being held in Rachi.

Will appear before ED on Wednesday

An MLA said the meeting was called to discuss the current political situation and strategies regarding the Enforcement Directorate (ED)'s proposed questioning of the chief minister on Wednesday. Soren had sent an email to the ED informing him that he was ready to record his statement at his residence on Wednesday at 1 pm. An Enforcement Directorate team on Monday reached Soren's 5/1 Shanti Niketan residence in South Delhi to question him in connection with the investigation into a money laundering case linked to the alleged land fraud case and camped there for over 13 hours. . During this time he searched the premises. Official sources said the Enforcement Directorate has seized Rs 36 lakh, an SUV and some "incriminating" documents after searching Soren's Delhi residence.
