Due to the onset of snowfall in the hilly states, the temperature is falling in the plains. According to the daily updates issued by the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, the coolness of the weather will also increase due to snowfall. On the other hand, Uttarakhand is going to see rain and snowfall today and on November 9 and 10.

At the same time, light rain may occur in Punjab and North Haryana on November 9 and 10. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in the area of ​​North Rajasthan tomorrow. On the other hand, talking about the states of South India, moderate to heavy rains are going to start in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe and South Andhra Pradesh from November 11.

At the same time, strong winds with speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph will occur over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh coasts on November 10 and 11. Apart from this, moderate rain is likely over Andaman and Nicobar on November 7 and 8.

Heavy snowfall in Gulmarg and other high altitude areas

Jammu and Kashmir's Gulmarg resort received heavy snowfall on Monday and the entire area was covered with a white blanket of snow. On the other hand, most parts of the Union Territory witnessed a drop in the day temperature due to snow and rain. Officials gave this information. Due to the change in weather as a result of snowfall in the valley, enthusiasm is being seen among the tourists. Gulmarg in north Kashmir's Baramulla district recorded about nine to 12 inches of fresh snow, he said.

Snowfall in Kashmir's Ganderbal

Sonmarg, another tourist destination in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district, received about three inches of fresh snowfall. Sadhna Pass on the Srinagar-Tangdhar road in Kupwara received about two feet of snow, while Machil received about five inches of snow, he said. At the same time, Gurez in Bandipora in North Kashmir received three inches of fresh snowfall. Officials said that fresh snowfall is also reported in other areas of the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. It rained in the plains of the valley including Srinagar.
