Nagaur: A grand three-day Abhinandan Samaroh is being organized in Nagaur, Rajasthan to commemorate the conferment of Padma Shri award on Jain saint Vijay Nityananda Surishwar Maharaj. The ceremony has become a festive occasion not only for the Jain community but for the entire city. On the second day of the ceremony, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood and TV show fame actress Rupali Ganguly also reached Nagaur, who graced the event with their presence.Glimpses of the second day: Bhakti Sandhya and drone showThe second day of the ceremony began with Jain Aaradhana, in which Vijay Nityananda Surishwar Maharaj was on the stage. A grand Bhakti Sandhya was organized on this occasion, in which bhajan singers Sambhav and Rishabh presented the mesmerizing Namokar song. Actress Rupali Ganguly also lent her voice to this song, which was well received by the audience.The main attraction of the program was the drone show, which depicted the superiority of Jainism and the glorious life of Vijay Nityananda Surishwar Maharaj. The figures created by drones in the sky mesmerized the audience. The city residents gathered in large numbers to see this show, due to which there was an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm on the streets of Nagaur.Presence of Sonu Sood and Rupali GangulyBollywood actor Sonu Sood expressed his happiness on reaching Nagaur and said, "My mother always used to say that if you put the ink of prayers in the pen of life, then your name will be written on the pages and in the sky. It feels very good to come to Nagaur, the people here are very domineering." This statement of his was very popular among the audience.At the same time, actress Rupali Ganguly, while paying obeisance to the holy land of Nagaur, said, "I am overwhelmed to see the Jain community and its culture here. I did not know that Nagaur has such a large and vibrant Jain community." She also paid tribute to the freedom fighters of Nagaur and said that the heritage of this city should get more recognition across the country.Concluding Ceremony: Grand Abhinandan CeremonyThe last day of the celebrations, 16 September 2025, will be particularly significant. A grand Abhinandan Ceremony will be organized on this day, which will be attended by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Punjab Governor Gulabchand Kataria and Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde. This event will be a great occasion to honor the social and religious contributions of Vijay Nityananda Surishwar Maharaj.
