Supreme Court News: While giving a big decision on Monday, the Supreme Court has refused to allow the abortion of a woman's 26-week pregnancy. The court took this decision when the AIIMS report stated that the child was normal in the womb. A hearing was held in this matter on Wednesday also but at that time no consensus could be reached between the two-member bench. After there was no unanimity between the two judges in the matter, it was sent to the Chief Justice.

Let us tell you that on October 9, a two-member bench of the Supreme Court had given permission to a married woman to abort her 26-week-old fetus. The petitioner woman argued that she is already a mother of two children and has been suffering from depression for a long time. The woman had told the Supreme Court about not giving birth to a third child, citing her emotional and financial condition. She had told the Supreme Court that she would not be able to raise her third child properly.

On the petition of the woman, the court had ordered the gynecological department of AIIMS to perform abortion after examining the woman. The report given by the doctors during the examination of the woman said that the fetus was beating. On this, the Supreme Court said that AIIMS should have mentioned this in its previous report itself.

Had the report come earlier, we would have thought differently.

During the hearing in this case on Wednesday, Justice Hima Kohli was in favor of giving birth to a child, while Justice BV Nagarathna said that she is in favor of the rights and wishes of the petitioner woman. Justice Nagarathna said that she has a different opinion from the views of Justice Hima Kohli. Commenting, he said that if the AIIMS report had come earlier, we would have thought differently and our order of October 9 would not have been the same.
