Corona rising again / The highest number of cases came in Delhi for the first time in April, the rate of infection doubled in 10 in Gurugram

For the first time after coming out of Omicron's wave, Delhi is moving towards a new wave of infection. For the first time in the last seven days, maximum number of people have been found corona infected in a day. Also, the daily infection rate crossed 1.60 percent. Compared to the last April 1, the daily infection rate has increased by more than three times. On April 1, this rate was found to be 0.50 percent.

On Thursday, the Health Department of Delhi has informed that 176 new cases of corona were reported in the last one day. At the same time 118 patients were discharged. In the last one day, 10453 samples were tested in which 1.68 percent samples were found infected. With this, 1865796 people have been infected in the capital so far. Of these, 1839090 patients were cured. While 26155 patients died due to corona.

According to the Health Department, the death rate from corona in Delhi is 1.4 percent. At the same time, the active cases of Corona have increased to 551. Of these, 362 patients are admitted in home isolation and 15 in hospitals. Of these, 4 patients are admitted in ICU, 7 on oxygen support and 1 patient on ventilator. Amidst increasing cases in Delhi, the number of containers has increased to 2640.

Testing decreased by 40 percent in 10 days but infection rate doubled

Corona infection is slowly gaining momentum again in Gurugram. The situation is that in the last 10 days, the daily corona test has come down by 40 percent, but the corona infection rate has doubled. According to the data of the Health Department, on an average, more than 3500 samples were being taken daily and at that time the infection rate in the district had come down to 1.11 percent, but now the situation is completely different.

At present, about 1500 samples are being taken and the infection rate has increased almost three times to 3.09 percent. On the other hand, if we look at the data of two months ago, it is found that the samples collected daily for corona test have come down by 66 percent. However, at that time the infection rate was 11.33 percent. It is to be known that between January 13 and 28 this year, the third wave of corona infection was at its peak. At that time the infection rate had increased to 25 percent.
