Weather Update / There will be a comeback of cold in North India including Delhi! The mercury will fall to this degree

Weather Update: After three days of respite in North India including Delhi, the havoc of Sheetlahar is going to return again. In the coming days, a decrease in temperature will be recorded again. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), between January 14 and 16, a decrease of 3 to 5 degrees in the minimum temperature can be recorded in the states of North-West India. According to IMD, cold wave may prevail in some areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Rajasthan on January 15 and 16.

Dense fog and chances of rain in these states

According to the forecast made by the Meteorological Department, dense to very dense fog can disturb people in many areas of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh for the next three days. Whereas, dense fog may also occur in West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura. It is clear that there is a possibility of another round of dense fog and cold wave in northwest India just before next week and during this time the temperature may decrease by 3 to 5 degree Celsius. According to IMD, there is a possibility of cloudy sky and light rain in Delhi on Friday, due to which people can get some relief from cold wave for a few days.

Sheetlahar may return from Sunday

According to IMD, there is a possibility of another cold wave from January 15 in some areas of Delhi and its neighboring states. Mahesh Palawat, vice-president, meteorology and climate change, Skymet Weather, said Delhi received 0.4 mm of rain yesterday, ending the prolonged dry season in the city. According to the latest bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), people of these areas may get some relief from the cold wave till Sunday. Scattered light rain or snow may occur over western Himalayan region and isolated rain over adjoining plains during this period.

Even today many flights were delayed

Some domestic and international flights were delayed today due to fog in the national capital. The names of these flights include Delhi-San Francisco/Kathmandu, Delhi-Chandigarh-Kullu, Delhi-Jaipur, Delhi-Dharamshala-Chandigarh, Delhi-Shimla-Dharamshala, Delhi-Dehradun.
