There is a Congress government in Punjab. However, senior party leader Navjot Singh Sidhu does not miss a single opportunity to attack the Chief Minister of the state Captain Amarinder Singh. It has been seen for some time that he constantly criticizes the Chief of Punjab for his policies and decisions. He has again targeted Amarinder Singh today for the incidents of desecration of Guru Granth Sahib in 2015 and the killing of two people in police firing.

Pointing to the chief minister's alleged failure to ensure justice in the case, Sidhu said, "Not knowing what is appropriate is not an act of cowardice."

In 2015, the cricketer-turned-politician has been repeatedly attacking Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on social media for insulting a religious text and alleged delay in delivering justice in police firing incidents. Sidhu said in a tweet "Thousands of cases are solved daily by the Punjab Police, no one needs SIT or commission of inquiry. I have described in detail the role of Badal, Bahbal Kalan and Badal behind Kotakpura firing many times. is."

In another tweet, he said, "Knowing the proper one and not implementing it is a feeling of cowardice."

Sidhu has been criticizing the Chief Minister of Punjab since the Punjab and Haryana High Court canceled the investigation report of the 2015 Kotkapura firing case last month. In 2015, the state government formed a new special investigation team to investigate the Kotkapura firing incident.

The former Amritsar MLA questioned the alleged "willful delay" in ensuring justice and accused Amarinder Singh of avoiding responsibility in the 2015 extortion case. The Chief Minister of Punjab termed Sidhu's anger as "complete indiscipline". Seven ministers of Punjab had demanded action against Sidhu for the continuous attack on Amarinder Singh.
