More than a week has passed since the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra. During this there was news that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had planned to resign, but he did not do so due to Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar. However, the opinion of the leaders on his decision is divided. Some believe that Thackeray only worsened the situation by staying there. The special thing is that Shiv Sena leaders have also been questioning the role of NCP in the government.

According to the Indian Express report, on June 20, after receiving the news of the rebellion, Uddhav called a meeting late at night at your official residence Varsha. Also a meeting was called the next day, where all the elected members were asked to be present. Now due to less attendance here, Uddhav reportedly felt that the situation had gone out of control. According to sources, Uddhav had made up his mind to resign, but Pawar had asked him to face it.

The report quoted sources as saying that due to this he publicly removed his belongings from Varsha and reached Matoshree with his sons Aditya and Tejas, wife Rashmi. An insider says the plan was a good farewell. "Uddhav wanted to announce his decision to quit after the address (on Facebook)," he said.

"Pawar asked them to stop and not take any decision in haste," the leader said. It was also shown that Mahavikas Aghadi will fight together in the war against BJP. According to the report, sources said that even after this, CM Thackeray had expressed his desire to resign.

A section believes that perhaps Uddhav did wrong by staying in office. It also showed that the NCP was taking the lead. The special thing is that the list of allegations of the rebel MLAs also includes that the NCP runs its terms in the MVA alliance. In such a situation, this incident proved this thing for many people.

Should have resigned?

According to the report, a loyalist of Uddhav says, “Personally speaking, as he had planned, he should have resigned immediately. This would not only have resulted in a good farewell, but also got a better response from the people.

Instead, Uddhav got caught in a different controversy, he said. He said, "It seems that even after losing the confidence of the elected members, he is trying to regain power... A resignation would have boosted the morale of the party for a long war under the leadership of son and minister Aaditya Thackeray."

Another top leader said that resignation within 48 hours would have exposed the rebel Shinde Sena as well as the Bharatiya Janata Party supporting the rebels.

Behavior also made a difference

Congress believes that all this tension is created by Thackeray. He failed to handle the growing rebellion and it. A party leader said, "Instead of taking measures to stop the remaining MLAs, Uddhav's first reaction was to let those who want to go, he spoke aggressively and many got angry."

Some senior members of the army were also not happy with the tone of MP Sanjay Raut. A party leader said, "Power comes and goes. Fight it, don't threaten life.'
