Nitin Gadkari on Petrol: Amidst the rising price of petrol and diesel, a big statement of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has come out on Friday. The Union Minister for Transport, Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari said that in the coming five years, the country will run out of petrol. This statement of his is being linked to the increasing pollution from vehicles and the future of electric vehicles. Actually, the government is continuously promoting electric vehicles.

Nitin Gadkari spoke at the convocation

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was speaking at the convocation ceremony of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Agricultural University in Akola, Maharashtra. He was also honored with the degree of 'Doctor of Science' by the university on this occasion. Talking about the alternatives of petrol, the Union Minister said that bio-ethanol made in Vidarbha is being used in vehicles.

Instead of becoming a food giver, become a farmer

He also told that green hydrogen can be prepared from well water. Its price can be up to Rs 70 per kg. Focusing on the farmers, he said that the future cannot be changed by producing wheat, rice, maize in the field. Therefore, instead of becoming food givers, farmers need to become energy donors.

Gadkari said that in the next five years, the country will run out of petrol. He told that the decision taken on ethanol saved the country Rs 20,000 crore annually. The day is not far when two wheelers and four wheelers will run on green hydrogen, ethanol and CNG.
