Rahul Gandhi News: During the discussion on the motion of thanks on the President's address in the Lok Sabha, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government. In his speech, he criticized the policies of the central government on unemployment, economic policy and democratic values.Issue of Foreign Minister's visit to America and swearing-in ceremonyRahul Gandhi targeted Prime Minister Modi and said that Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar was sent to America to attend the swearing-in ceremony of US President Donald Trump in 2019. He taunted that the government should not focus its diplomatic relations on such priorities. He said, "When we talk to America, the Foreign Minister should not have sent the Prime Minister there to invite him (Trump) to his swearing-in ceremony. It was a move that hurt the pride of a democratic country."Discussion on Lok Sabha elections and ConstitutionRahul Gandhi also mentioned the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in his speech. He said that before the elections, the BJP had given the slogan of '400 Paar' and indicated that they could change the Constitution. But the mandate of the people made it clear that no power can change the Constitution. He said, "I was happy to see that the Prime Minister was forced to bow his head in front of the Constitution in the Lok Sabha. It was a proud moment for the Congress and the supporters of democracy. I know that the RSS never fully accepted the Constitution, but this country will not let it change at any cost."Attack on unemployment and economic policiesRahul Gandhi surrounded the government, calling unemployment the biggest problem of the country. He said that the current government has failed to provide employment to the youth. He said, "We have moved forward rapidly, but the government has completely failed to solve the problem of unemployment. Both the UPA and NDA governments have failed to give a clear answer to the youth on this issue."He further said that there are two main pillars of economic development of any country - consumption and production. "The service sector is important to boost consumption, while organizing production reflects the success of industrial policy. But our government has failed to organize production. We have world-class companies, but their growth is not being supported."Make in India failureRahul Gandhi also termed the Modi government's 'Make in India' scheme a failure. He said, "When the Prime Minister announced the Make in India program, it was a good idea. We saw the propaganda, saw the celebrations, heard big promises of investment, but what was the result? In 2014, the contribution of manufacturing to GDP was 15.3%, which has now come down to 12.6%. It has reached the lowest level in the last 60 years."He said that this is not only the failure of the Prime Minister, but also reflects the weakness of his government's economic policies. "It would be wrong to say that the Prime Minister did not try, but it is clear that ideologically 'Make in India' was a good idea, which failed completely."ConclusionRahul Gandhi strongly criticized the policies of the government during his speech in the Lok Sabha. He tried to hold the government accountable on issues such as unemployment, economic slowdown and protection of the Constitution. This debate was not only important from a political point of view, but it also has the potential to influence the political direction of the country in the coming years.
