Uttarakhand is going to get a new Chief Minister again within four months. Amidst the political stir, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat resigned from his post on late Friday night. He submitted his resignation to the Governor Baby Rani Maurya. Earlier, Rawat had offered to resign after meeting BJP national president JP Nadda in the national capital.

Tirath Singh Rawat thanked Prime Minister Modi for giving him a chance after submitting his resignation to the Governor. He said, "Resigned from the post due to constitutional crisis. There cannot be by-elections.

Tirath Singh Rawat had a press conference today. However, in this he did not say a single thing related to the resignation, but told about the work done by his government. He had announced that 20 thousand new appointments would be made. Rawat had said that the economy has been badly affected by the Corona epidemic. The state government has given big relief to the tourism sector.

In March, Tirath Singh Rawat was sworn in as the Chief Minister. In such a situation, he had to reach the assembly through a by-election before September 10, but due to the Kovid epidemic, the by-election was being delayed. Due to the resignation of Tirath Singh Rawat, after four months, all eyes are again on Uttarakhand. BJP has called a meeting of the legislature party on Saturday.


Meeting called at 3 pm

BJP Legislature Party meeting has been called in Dehradun at 3 pm on Saturday. The meeting will be held at the party headquarters. BJP's media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan told that this meeting to be held on Saturday will be led by Uttarakhand BJP President Madan Kaushik. All the MLAs have been asked to be present in the meeting. The party has directed that all the BJP MLAs of the state should be present in Dehradun on Saturday. At the same time, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been made an observer for the legislature party meeting, who will go to Dehradun.


Now who can be the new CM of Uttarakhand?

After Tirath Singh Rawat, there is speculation about the name of the new Chief Minister. There are two names, which remain in the race for the next Chief Minister. It is being said that Rajput or Singh can be the next Chief Minister from the caste itself. In such a situation, the names of Satpal Singh and Dhan Singh Rawat are being discussed. However, this is not the first time that both the names have cropped up for the chief minister's post. Their names have already been discussed.
