Currently, as a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, he has been instrumental in managing India's relations with the Indo-Pacific region, while his expertise spans across various geographical and thematic areas, making him a versatile choice for the ambassadorship in Iran.

Extensive Experience in International Affairs

Before his current tenure at the MEA, Negi served as the Joint Secretary (International Cooperation) in the Ministry of Defence.
