Starlink India: Elon Musk's satellite based internet service 'Starlink' can launch in India soon. It may soon get Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite (GMPCS) license from the government. This service of Musk will provide you high-speed internet through satellite. It is believed that for a service like Starlink, there is no need to create a big infrastructure like fiber cable. This will help in providing internet to everyone at low cost.

After getting approval from the government, Starlink will become eligible to get spectrum in the country. The company will provide broadband service to Indian customers. According to media reports, Starlink is taking approval from the Department of Space, Department of Telecommunication and Home Ministry. Approval from all is expected in a few weeks.

The company owned by Elon Musk had applied for GMPCS license in October last year. Apart from this, the company has also sought approval from the National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe). This approval is necessary to provide internet service in India.

American businessman's space company SpaceX has left more than 42,000 satellites in space. Their share in the total active satellites is more than half. Starlink has the ability to provide internet to anywhere on the earth. Actually, it provides internet service through satellite, so there is no one in between.

SpaceX's satellite is 550 kilometers away from the Earth, whereas the satellites used for internet in the old way are at a distance of 35,000 kilometers. Therefore Starlink provides better connections. To run it, you will need Starlink dish, Wi-Fi router/power supply, cable and base.

This dish works when the sky is clear. You can manage internet service and check signal strength through the Starlink app.

This service has not been launched yet in India. Talking about its price, you may have to spend around Rs 8,000-10,000 per month for Starlink internet. If these charges remain then Reliance Jio's internet will be cheaper.
