At the same time, there was talk from the PCB about getting the matches of the Indian team held on the ground of Lahore. But it has not been decided yet whether Team India will go to Pakistan to participate in the Champions Trophy or not and who will take the final decision on Team India going to Pakistan. BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla has given a big statement on this.

Rajiv Shukla said that whatever the Government of India asks us to do in the matter of Champions Trophy, it will be done. We send our team only when the Government of India gives permission, in that case we will go according to the decision of the Government of India. Only the Government of India will take the final decision on Team India going to Pakistan.

Indian team did not go to Pakistan for Asia Cup

India and Pakistan currently play against each other only in ICC tournaments. The Indian team has not toured Pakistan since 2008. Last year, the Indian team did not even go to Pakistan to participate in the Asia Cup. Then Pakistan was the host of Asia Cup. After this, the Asia Cup was conducted under the hybrid model. All India's matches were played in Sri Lanka. Then the Pakistani team came to India to participate in the ODI World Cup 2023.

8 teams will participate in the Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan has already qualified as the host. Teams from India, Australia, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and South Africa will participate in the Champions Trophy 2025. Eight teams will be divided into two groups of four each. Two teams from each group will reach the semi-finals. Pakistan won the Champions Trophy 2017 title by defeating India. Then the captain of Team India was Virat Kohli.
